Bejeweled 3 is the one that the series started to be enjoyable. Click and hold LMB for replacing to jewels for matching them. You cannot make empty moves. Your move must match at least 3 jewels in a row. Rows can be horizontal or vertical. 3 jewels matching is a simple match. 4 and 5 jewels matching will provide you some power-ups to gain more score in a single move.
